Tippi Shorter & Sam Villa To Host ‘Fabric Of Change’

Tippi Shorter, Global Artistic Director for Mizani, has teamed with hair legend Sam Villa to host a day of free education for hairstylists impacted by the pandemic on June 28.

More than a dozen Black celeb hairstylists, educators and influencers will lead classes throughout the day focusing on how to style textured hair and to bring Black educators to the forefront.

Educators include Vernon Francois, Felicia Leatherwood, Keya Neal, Marquetta Beslin, Leysa Carrillo, Yene Damtew, Jamal Edmonds, Vernon Francois, Evie Johnson, Shannon King, Cynthia Lumzy, Neeko, Michelle O’Connor, Rachel Redd, Rodrick Samuels, and Joie Wallace.

“I’ve always made it a point to highlight incredible artists on my platforms and am honored to join Sam in celebrating these incredible stylists and moving the needle forward within the beauty industry,” said Shorter in a news release.

The classes will live stream June 28, 10 am to 7 pm EST on Facebook at @SamVillaPros and YouTube at @SamVillaHair.
