Black-owned athleisure haircare brand SUNDAY II SUNDAY is heading to Sephora later this month. The brand launched in May 2020 as a solution to help women with textured hair to cleanse and hydrate hair after working out — without having to do a whole wash day.

The vegan brand’s offerings include scalp serums, a moisturizing spray, essential oils, and its top-selling Root Refresh, which is billed as non-drying, non-pore clogging alternative to dry shampoo. Since its launch, it has raised more than $6M in funding with an average monthly growth rate of 23%.

“This partnership is so exciting because it means that we will be able to reach even more women with solutions to empower them to lead their fullest and most active lives without worrying about how it will affect their hair,” said Keenan Beasley, Sunday II Sunday founder, in a recent statement. “We’re excited to work with a brand like Sephora that recognizes the need behind these products and blurring the lines between health and beauty.”

The new online retail partnership is part of Sephora’s diversity efforts after signing on to the 15 Percent Pledge which challenged retailers to line 15% of their shelves with Black-owned brands.

“Sephora is thrilled to partner with Sunday II Sunday and continue our commitment to bringing innovative products that cater to all hair types, textures and concerns to our clients,” said Jennifer Lucchese, VP Haircare Merchandising at Sephora.

SUNDAY II SUNDAY retails from $15 to $99 and will be available online at Sephora.com beginning May 25.
