The North American Hairstylists Awards — aka the Oscars of hair — is now accepting entries for its 2021 awards season.
Presented by the Professional Beauty Association, NAHA has enjoyed a more than 30-year history as one of the most prestigious awards in the industry.
Hairstylists can submit a themed collection in one of several categories, highlighting their best skills. So, if you’re looking to get noticed — now is the time to start envisioning new lewks to add to your portfolio!

This year’s categories include: Avant Garde, Texture, Makeup Artist of the Year, Editorial/Session Stylist of the Year, Haircolor, Haircutting, Hairstylist of the Year, Master Hairstylist of the Year, Men’s Hairstylist of the Year, Salon/School Design of the Year, Student Hairstylist of the Year, Styling & Finishing, and Team of the Year. There are also two new categories: Inspiring Salon Of The Year and Educator Of The Year.
In light of COVID-19, NAHA has extended the entry deadline to November 18, 2020 at 9pm EST. Late submissions will not be accepted. Be sure to read the rules and follow submissions guidelines for your category.
The entry fee is $80 for members and $110 for non-members. Students members fee is $40 and $55 for non-member students.
Finalists will be announced at the top of 2021 and winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in Long Beach, Calif. on March 13, 2021.
