Fashion Icon André Leon Talley & Ford Foundation’s Darren Walker To Talk Philanthropy & Representation For ‘MAD Moments’ Series

Following their discussion on race in fashion, icon André Leon Talley and Ford Foundation’s Darren Walker are now talking money moves. The two will be in conversation this week for a special edition of the Museum of Art & Design’s MAD Moments series where they will be exploring the future of philanthropy, the roles of museums in reimagining who has a seat at the table, and Walker’s path to the foundation.

Talley is a fashion legend who has served as creative director for Vogue and has had his byline appear in such publications as Vanity Fair, The New York Times, and HG. He is the author of books including two autobiographies, The Chiffon Trenches and ALT,  as well as Little Black Dress, A.L.T.:365+, MegaStar, and Oscar de la Renta: His Legendary World of Style. He is also the subject of the documentary The Gospel According to André.

Walker is president of the Ford Foundation, a $13 billion international social justice philanthropy, and co-founder and chair of the Presidents’ Council on Disability Inclusion in Philanthropy. He has been included on Time’s annual 100 Most Influential People in the World, Rolling Stone’s 25 People Shaping the Future, Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business, and OUT Magazine’s Power 50.
