Atlanta-based celeb loctician M. London is bringing her master loc skills to Philadelphia with the opening of her second salon, Locmamas². The 20-year natural hair vet gained renown for creating R&B songstress Ledisi’s iconic looks that were featured on her Pieces of Me and Turn Me Loose albums.
M. London opened her first Locmamas salon in Atlanta in 2012 and has worked her way to becoming one of Atlanta’s top authorities on loc’d styling. She opened her newest location on July 4 with a commitment to bring her philosophy of nourishing and protecting hair to Philadelphia.
“I’m so happy and proud about the announcement of Locmamas2 opening in Philadelphia with my business partner Stephanie Devose!,” shared M. London. “I started my own natural hair journey in 1992, and started styling natural hair exclusively in 1995. The original Locmamas was opened in 2012, and now in 2018, Locmamas2 is opening its doors!!”
Both Locmamas locations are designed to serve as one-stop-shop destinations for loc and natural hair needs, including loc maintenance, styling, repairs, sisterlocks installation, loc extensions, twist outs, flat twist, coils, trims, retightening, loc coloring, and conditioning.

Earlier this year, M. London also launched Locmama’s Academy, an online resource to educate fellow stylists and locticians, including such classes as “Master Essentials of Loc Coloring” and “Create Seamless Loc Extensions”.
With Locmamas2 officially open, M. London will begin accepting clients full time starting August 22 while still continue servicing her Atlanta location on a limited basis.
