Summer is in full swing and we are all about that melanin glow. We also want to make sure you are taking care of your skin in all ways. And, that means reaching for some sunscreen. Yes, I know a whole bunch of us turned a side-eye to bad news about aerosol sunscreen last week because somebody has us believing we don’t need it. Lies!

Even though darker skin tones naturally have up to SPF 13 protection, we need a minimum of SPF 30 to fully protect us from the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation. As much as the sun’s rays amp up our complexion, the harmful radiation mixed with environmental factors can lead to rough skin, skin damage, and even cancer. We are also more likely to experience fatal complications if we do battle cancer.
