The largest Black hair and beauty celebration in the country has officially been canceled due to the global pandemic. Bronner Bros. took to Instagram Monday to announce the 74th Annual Mid-Summer International Beauty show scheduled for August 8-10 is now canceled “to ensure the safety of all attendees and exhibitors.”

The semi-annual event is known to bring out upwards of 40,000 beauty lovers and pros for networking, education and inspiration — as well as connect with the Black beauty industry’s best, brightest and boldest.

If you’ve already bought tickets, don’t stress. Registrants will be automatically refunded.

While we now have to miss out on the in-person live shows, all is not lost. Bronner Bros. shared it will be creating an online experience featuring educational classes, virtual competitions, and other activities.

No details have been released, but expect it to be just as extra and extravagant as possible.
