Celeb Hairstylist Nafisah Carter Launches New Salon In North Carolina
The Salon Raleigh is Carter’s solution for thriving during a pandemic.
While salons continue to be impacted by pandemic closings and restrictions, many are finding news ways to thrive. Celebrity hairstylist Nafisah Carter is one of those beauty bosses.
She has just launched a new salon in North Carolina billed as a glam experience for her clientele. Carter, who has styled such celebs as Michelle Williams, Tinashe, and Erica Mena, is now primping clients at The Salon Raleigh.
This isn’t Carter’s first foray into salon ownership. She was forced to shutter her namesake Nafisah’s Beauty Boutique at the start of the pandemic earlier this year. Instead of relaunching, she pivoted to create a private one-on-one experience for clients and to meet new personal protective equipment (PPE) regulations.
Her new salon is also home to Pyara Hair, Carter’s organic hair extensions line.
“There are many things that hit you in this industry. You can stumble along, but you just have to bounce back,” said Carter in a recent release. “I made up my mind to not let COVID-19 derail my plans.”
