Michelle Obama Was A Whole A Mood At The 2021 Inauguration
The former first lady served up all sorts of Black fashion and hair goals.
When it comes to statement-making fashions, Michelle Obama is always a mood. And, she did not disappoint upon arrival for the 2021 presidential inauguration Wednesday morning with Barack. Our former First Lady served all the fashion goals in a plum pants-and-jacket ensemble by Black designer Sergio Hudson.

She accessorized the monochromatic look with a must-have belt and coordinating accessories, including black leather gloves, boots and a black silk face mask.
And, can we talk about her hair? Obama’s tresses were bouncing and flowing for the hair gawds. We must give a shout out to her longtime hairstylist Yene Damtew for the voluminous curls that had social media swooning.
Obama wasn’t the whole one serving up fashion goals. Our new Vice President Kamala Harris made fashion waves for rocking not one, but two Black fashion designers for the swearing-in of her and President Joe Biden.
“Today is the day,” wrote Obama in an Instagram post. “After a disturbing era of chaos and division, we are entering the next chapter of American leadership with the inauguration of @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris. Right now, I’m feeling more than just relief at putting the past four years behind us. I’m feeling genuinely hopeful for what’s to come.”
