Celeb Makeup Artist Mimi Johnson Launches Inaugural Grind Pretty Fest

Two ’90s-themed event for women in business will take place April 17-18.

Celebrity makeup artist Mimi Johnson who is expanding her beauty empire with a new festival designed to celebrate and empower women in business. Johnson gained renown for beating the faces of such beauties as Angel Simmons, Kenya Moore mastermind behind the beauty network and magazine Grind Pretty and makeup collection The Glamatory is hosting her first-ever Grind Pretty Fest.

The two-day ’90s-themed event will feature more than a dozen expert speakers and workshop sessions led by brand founders such as Tahira Wright (The Cut Life), Jasmine Lawrence (Eden Body Words), Shavonne Riggins (Curlkalon), and more. There will be a $5,000 Elevator Pitch Competition presented by Mielle Organics, along with live music sets featuring Traci Steele and Princess Cut and shopping opportunities.

The event will also feature a celebratory brunch honoring reality tv star and serial entrepreneur Angela Simmons, Mielle Organics’ Monique Rodriguez, Pretty Vee, Kaleidoscope founder Jesseca Dupart, Hype Hair CEO Lia Dias, Dr. Key Hallmon, and Melissa A Mitchell.
