Both founders have become renown as powerhouses in the Black beauty industry and beyond — and are now teaming up to celebrate the power of sisterhood with their exclusive TLB X Mielle Limited Edition Nonstop Liquid Matte Lipstick.

The limited edition drop features a co-branded version of TLB’s top-selling velvety matte finish lipstick in an exclusive “Mielle Pink” shade paying homage to haircare brand’s signature bright and bold pink hues. The velvety matte finish lipstick is infused with moisture-rich ingredients to deliver intense pigmentation with just one swipe

“This partnership is a testament to sisterhoods creating legacies,” said Butler, CEO of The Lip Bar. “Both of our brands found success thanks to the queens in our communities uplifting us as Black women entrepreneurs in the beauty industry. This Women’s History Month, we want to empower women to embrace their bold beauty unapologetically with Mielle Pink, an absolute showstopper.”

Butler and Rodriguez were both inspired to create their respective beauty and haircare brands due to the lack of representation and highly toxic nature of mainstream beauty products. Founded in 2012, The Lip Bar gained a cult following for its vibrant, melanin-friendly vegan lipstick and has since expanded into a Black-women founded and led beauty empire featuring a full line of vegan cosmetics and skincare.

Founded in 2014, Mielle launched with an organic hair formulat to help woman with kinks and coils grow and retain healthy-looking hair. The brand has since become an independent subsidiary of P&G, with Rodriguez staying on as CEO.

“For a decade, Mielle has provided superior products for the textured hair community, empowering women to feel their best because confidence is beautiful,” said Rodriguez. “We are thrilled to partner with The Lip Bar on this limited-edition lipstick to continue inspiring women on their journey.”

The limited-edition TLB Nonstop Liquid Matte Lipstick shade in Mielle Pink retails for $14 and is available online and in select stores now through May 18.
