Storm Reid Is The Newest Face Of Dark And Lovely

Storm Reid has just added a new ambassadorship to her impressive portfolio. The “Euphoria” actress (and college freshman) has been tapped as the newest face of Dark & Lovely.

“Partnering with Dark & Lovely is a dream come true, not because it’s an iconic brand that’s been in my life since I was little, literally, but because it’s a brand that made Black women feel seen and beautiful when those images didn’t exist,” said Storm Reid in a video announcing her new role. “I love experimenting with color and changing up my style and using Dark & Lovely products keeps my hair healthy and strong while rocking the boldest hair color looks.”

Reid, who celebrated her 18th birthday this year, will serve as an ambassador for the brand’s entire lineup, including its Fade Resist hair color and new Blowout collection. She will also use her platform to support Dark & Lovely’s philanthropic initiatives that impact and uplift the Black community.

“You don’t even understand what a full circle moment this is for me,” she wrote on Instagram. “Just last year I posted a picture of my mom, @pennysfirst in a throwback Dark & Lovely ad and this was WAAAY before we had even started talking about a partnership, and now here we are!!! I’m so proud to be working with a brand that is not only a pioneer in Black beauty, but one who for almost 50 years CONSISTENTLY shows up for Black women and their hair care needs so they can be their most beautiful, boldest, and baddest selves. There is so much more ahead and I can’t wait to share!”

This is Reid’s third ambassador gig this year. She is also serving face as a global spokesmodel for Maybelline New York and its “Brave Together” campaign and as for New Balance with a new “We Got Now” promo. Reid also launched her own production house, A Seed & Wings, in partnership with Robyn Simpson last year. In addition to her starring role in HBO’s “Euphoria,” she will also be seen in”Searching.”
