Janelle Monáe Serves Up Gladiator Vibes For 2022 Met Gala

The ‘Pynk’ singer’s gown featured handcrafted crystals to bring her futuristic fashion to life.

Songstress Janelle Monae can do no wrong when it comes to the red carpet. Whether she’s posing it up in body-con dresses or intergalactic space catsuits, we live for her next fashion moment — and her Met Gala appearance is no exception.

The “Pynk” singer served up gladiator vibes in a sparkling Ralph Lauren gown giving us her classic black and white fashion with the bodice, hood and cuffs accented with lines of crystals.

She completed the look with her signature red lip and glowing flawless skin. The theme of the night was Gilded Glamour and Janelle said her look was her personal vision of “gilded glamour from the future.” She also made sure to thank the artisans behind the scenes who handcrafted the crystals to make her vision come to life.
