If there’s one thing about Lizzo, she is going to make sure everyone — and every body — is represented with her inclusive shapewear brand, Yitty.

With her latest drop, Lizzo is answering the call for people seeking more fluidity in their clothing. The “About Damn Time” singer teased a new “Your Skin” collection of gender-affirming shapewear centering nonbinary, trans, and gender-fluid communities.

The inspiration: “You deserve to feel like you,” wrote Lizzo in a post announcing such offerings as binder tops and tucking thongs set to drop this summer.

Not everyone has that privilege. Imagine not being able to find a bra or underwear that made you feel comfortable in your own body. Within the ever-changing world of fashion, there are still so many restrictions on people and their bodies.

“I’ve watched countless videos of people crafting their own garments to wrap or tuck their bodies so their body can truly feel like theirs,” shared Lizzo in another post. “I’ve heard people talk about their preference of wanting to be fluid in how they want to present their bodies depending on their mood or style of clothing. And I wanted to help.”

She also shared the collection was two years in the making, with extensive wear testing and community feedback.

Lizzo’s announcement also comes in the midst of anti-LGBTQIA legislation being passed to ban gender-affirming healthcare and drag shows. Lizzo has used her platform to stand up for not only body inclusivity, but also LGBTQIA inclusivity — and this collection shows just that.

The “Your Skin” collection is set to launch in late summer and will be offered in inclusive sizes ranging from XS to 6X.
