Harlem’s Fashion Row (HFR)—a collective dedicated to amplifying Black talent in fashion—has partnered with Gap to spotlight the creative influence of Black designers in American fashion. Their new 16-piece capsule collection reinterprets Gap’s signature staples—the white T-shirt, Arch Hoodie, and button-down shirt—through the distinct lens of five designers shaping the industry today.
With designs by A. Potts, BruceGlen, Kaphill, N’Gai, and Richfresh, the collection blends heritage with innovation, offering bold yet wearable styles that reflect each designer’s journey.

More than just a reimagining of classic wardrobe essentials, the Gap x Harlem’s Fashion Row collection underscores the impact of Black designers, even as the industry scales back diversity initiatives. It also reinforces Gap’s commitment as a long-standing community partner of HFR since 2019 to building a more equitable retail industry.
“Our partnership with Gap has always been about more than fashion; it’s about creating opportunities, breaking barriers, and amplifying the voices of these incredibly talented designers,” said Brandice Daniel, CEO & Founder of HFR in a statement. “This collaboration is especially meaningful as it represents the evolution of our shared vision to reimagine possibilities for designers of color. Together, we’re not only celebrating creativity but also fostering a legacy of inclusivity and empowerment that will inspire generations to come.”
Each designer infuses the collection with personal influences and cultural narratives:
