Dallas-Fort Worth’s media landscape is coming together once again for the 2025 Black Media Mixer, now in its sixth year. This premier event continues to celebrate Black excellence in media, business, and beauty—fostering connections among media professionals, creatives, and business leaders.
This year, the Black Media Mixer is elevating the experience with the Black Beauty Bar, an exclusive beauty lounge powered by Sadiaa. Designed for those who appreciate luxury and self-care, the Black Beauty Bar invites attendees to indulge in premium beauty services while enjoying handcrafted cocktails from a complimentary open bar.
Connect with Black beauty brands and their founders as they showcase must-have products in fragrance, skincare, body care, and makeup. Whether you’re searching for the perfect red lip for your undertone or the ultimate skincare routine for a radiant summer glow, these experts will be on hand to share their knowledge and expertise.
“We’re honored to bring the Black Beauty Bar to life as part of the incredible experience that Jen Iro, founder of Black Media Mixer and TJA Public Relations, has curated,” said Stephenetta (isis) Harmon, founder of Sadiaa. “With diversity and inclusion efforts being rolled back across industries, it’s more important than ever to spotlight and support Black-owned beauty brands.”
Featured brands include:
Beyond beauty, the Black Media Mixer will feature two engaging panel discussions: The Black Media Panel and The Black Ecosystem: Collaboration Over Competition. A retail market will spotlight even more Black-owned businesses, offering guests the opportunity to shop and support local brands. Business professionals can take advantage of complimentary headshots and compete in the VIP pitch contest for valuable resources to grow their business.
Jen Iro, founder of Black Media Mixer and TJA Public Relations, created the event to address the need for intentional networking opportunities for Black media professionals in Dallas. “This event isn’t just about networking—it’s about building an ecosystem that fosters lasting relationships, meaningful collaborations, and real opportunities for growth within our industries,” says Iro.
VIP guests will enjoy an elevated experience, including unlimited refreshments, access to a dessert bar, and an open bar featuring a curated drink menu. The VIP section also provides exclusive networking opportunities tailored to foster deeper industry connections.
The Black Media Mixer will take place on February 22, 2025, on the second floor of The Shops at RedBird Mall, located at 3662 W Camp Wisdom Rd in Dallas.
