Samuel H. Bundles, Henry M. Childrey & Arthur Rogovin

The iconic afro comb has taken on several iterations since it was first designed in the late ’50s/early ’60s. Samuel Bundles and Henry Childrey hold the earliest patent design in 1960. In 1971, New York-native Arthur Rogovin patented a folding version of the comb.
