Mielle Organics is continuing to make major beauty moves. After hitting Ulta shelves earlier this spring, the Black-owned beauty brand is making beauty history with a brand new plant-based collection. The Mango & Tulsi Botanical Blend Collection is billed as the first-ever haircare line infused with tulsi, specifically formulated for waves, kinks, and coils.

“I am proud to introduce the beauty industry’s first collection for textured hair featuring the ingredient, tulsi, said Monique Rodriguez, Mielle CEO and founder, in a recent statement. “It is one of my greatest passions to find new ingredients and develop problem-solving products.”

Tulsi, often called “holy basil,” is a South Asian herb that has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicines. Its leaves are packed with vitamin C, zinc and other minerals to nourish, strengthen and rejuvenate both the hair and follicles. Its antimicrobial and antifungal properties are known for helping to combat dandruff and improve scalp health.

Don’t sleep on mango, either. It’s rich in antioxidants, like vitamins A and C that help restore moisture to the hair and scalp.

The new six-piece collection includes an Instant 3-IN-1 Serum to replenish and seal in nutrients for stronger, smoother and shinier hair, along with a curl-enhancing Whipping Crème, shampoo, conditioner, leave-in, and styling gel.

Each product retails for $14.99 each and can be found exclusively at Ulta.com.
