Clarify Your Co-Wash

If you swear by co-washing, then add this clarifying must-have to your regimen. Its acidic properties help unclog hair follicles and smooth the cuticle for a natural slip which helps to get rid of knots and tangles.

Use As A Neutralizing Shampoo

You can use a mix of one part ACV to two parts water to help restore your hair’s natural pH balance. While we prefer you use it after using a standard neutralizing shampoo, if you’re in a jam, you can use just the rinse (just make sure to do it twice).

Make Your Hair Color Last Longer

Since most hair color is alkaline, rinsing hair with ACV can help extend the life of your next dye job by closing cuticles and sealing in the color.

All this to say, because ACV is slightly acidic, when it’s mixed with two to three parts water it may extend the life of hair color. Rinse hair with one part ACV and three parts water right after rinsing out the hair color. You can also use the rinse once or twice a month to help boost color by clarifying mineral deposits.
