ORS Launches ‘ORS Cares Relief Fund’ To Help Black Hairstylists & Salon Owners

The haircare brand has committed $100K to help Black beauty pros.

Haircare brand ORS has launched a new investment fund to support Black hairstylists and salon owners impacted by COVID-19 and nationwide civil unrest.

ORS announced the fund Friday with a starting commitment of $100K to provide monetary grants to licensed, salon-based hairstylists across the U.S. to help ease the strain and pressure on those who’ve been unable to work owing to the pandemic, or from any rioting effects.

“For more than two decades now in the business of beauty, ORS Haircare has honored and respected the unique struggle of Black hairstylists and salon professionals—and they’re in our thoughts especially at this challenging time,” the company shared in a statement.

The Chicago-based company has also committed to making direct contributions to local organizations, including My Block, My Hood, My City.
