Ciara just dropped visuals to her new single “Jump” featuring hip group Coast Contra that have us completely rethinking the retro fashion trends. She served up a good mix of the ’80s, ’90s, and the ’99/2000s with a slew of “1, 2 Step”-era dance moves that had us breaking a sweat just by watching.
I mean we knew Ciara was going to bring Big Dance Energy when she released the single cover rocking a whole bodysuit and corset ties made out of Air Jordan 4 sneakers.

The visuals open with high school squad goals featuring Winston-Salem State University Powerhouse cheerleaders before taking us through at least 14 different looks. She and stylist Kollin Carter went through a whole style catalog, featuring Janet Jackson-inspired looks (complete with a graphic Tupac bodysuit tee), airbrushed pum pum shorts, breakaway vinyl pants, cropped sweats, and all-sparkling-everything.
Hairstylist César DeLeon Ramirez came through with all of her hairstyles, including a cropped blonde pixie, rooted red curls, and a banging blunt bob, with makeup artist Yolanda Fredrick-Thompson serving up face, including that rhinestoned and blue shimmer eye makeup in the cheerleader opening.
And, her dancers are their own ode to Black beauty. Women with real booty shapes and sizes give us our dance lives while showing off everything from buzz cuts and blow-outs to back-braided cornrows and box braids, with one particular beach scene giving us pure melanated joy.
And, can we, just for a minute, take in that she has been serving body and dance goals for 20 whole years and this single is the first from her soon-to-be eighth album. The new album will be her first offering under her Beauty Marks Entertainment label deal with Republic Records and Uptown Records.
