We waited each week with bated breath to cackle at the premiere season of Brunson’s hit show, “Abbot Elementary,” this spring. The show, which she created, wrote and starred in, earned a whopping seven Emmy nominations. And, she made history as the first Black woman to ever earn three nominations (Lead Actress In A Comedy, Writing For A Comedy Series, and Outstanding Comedy Series).

Now, she’s offering up fresh face goals with the beauty brand that has been in generations of women’s homes, including her own mom.

“Olay is such an iconic and trusted brand, and I’m so happy to be partnering with them because of that trust that people have [in] their product,” Brunson told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview.

Brunson is repping the brand’s Retinal24 collection in her first campaign, which is billed as a brightener to help even out skin tones.

“It’s funny because the [brand’s] tagline is ‘Face Anything,’ but I truly do feel like I’m able to do that with just this line of products as someone who doesn’t love to wear a ton of makeup. It’s important for me to feel actually more comfortable walking into my writers’ room, having a bare face.”

The campaign continues Olay’s drive over the past few years to incorporate more women of color in their campaigns and storytelling, as well as to bring equity to women of color in arts and science through such initiatives as #DecodeTheBias.

It also aligns well with Brunson’s beauty philosophy: “I believe everything should be for everyone,.”
