Dallas-Fort Worth’s top event connecting entrepreneurs and creatives with local media heavyweights is back and bigger than ever. The fifth annual Black Media Mixer is set to host its signature panel spotlighting the wins and needs of Black media professionals, Saturday, Aug. 26.
Featured speakers and moderators include DeDe McGuire (K104FM), Yolonda Williams (CW33), Taylor Bickham (The Shade Room Teens), and Jessica Washington (Dallas Weekly). This year’s event has expanded with two more panel discussions featuring business and beauty professionals who will share their must-haves, tips, and tools for success. Business and beauty panelists include Karen Iyere (Kokanni Cosmetics), Terri Thomas (Chase), Richard Thomas (The Present House Hospitality Group) Shammah Joy (Luxury Distilled Beverages), Brittany Willis (PJ’s Coffee), and Shatonya ‘Rosie’ Thomas (Thomas Financial).
The Black Media Mixer has also partnered with Sadiaa to host a curated beauty experience featuring Black-owned beauty brands with our founder Stephenetta (isis) Harmon serving as host.
Featured brands include Allure Faces By Nikki, Forūe Fragrances, Kokanni Cosmetics, and Rufescent Lip. Attendees will be able to get primped and pampered with the Black Beauty Bar as brand founders serve up fragrances, skincare, body, and makeup must-haves. Learn more about their offerings as they help you address your most pressing beauty questions — including how to find the perfect red lip and skincare and foundation secrets for a flawless summer glow.
